Injured Workers of Wellington & Dufferin Counties
Our Local MPs and MPPs

This page has been setup to provide you with all
the contact information for all our local MPPs and MPs.
This way it is easy for you to connect with them.

Probably one of the most important things an injured worker can do
for themselves and for other injured workers
is to create and mainatain
a good working relationship with their MPPs and MPs.

For if you ever need anything,
whether they can give you something now or not,
they are the ones to approach.

As much as you hurt or hate to do it,
you must always show the MPPs & MPs and thier staff with respect,
even if you have been treated like garbage by the WSIB and the WSIAT.

PLEASE remember the MPPs & MPs and their staff are not the WSIB or the WSIAT!

If you do not treat the MPPs & MPs and their staff with respect,
they can and will, ignore you, and all of us!
They have every right to do so!

SO PLEASE SHOW THEM RESPECT!

Our Elected Members of
Ontario's Provincial Parliament - MPPs

MPPs are responsible for making provincial laws within Ontario.
Such laws include the Workplace Safety & Insurance Act.
This is the law that governs the WSIB & the WSIAT.
The Courts of Justice Act, which are laws that govern procedures within our courts.
Additionally, the Premier of Ontario, on occasion,
appoints the head of the WSIB and the WSIAT.
So, it is VERY important for injured workers to have a strong working relationship
with the area MPPs, if we ever want positive change and
Justice for Injured Workers!

There are four MPPs in IWWDC's area.
Their contact information and party affiliation are listed below.
In addition to the contact information there will be addiitonal information about what each MPP has said on specific topics. This way we can hold them more accountable for their actions.

MPP's position on Bill 119 - Respecting Injured Workers Act:
The group has just received an official response from Mr. Schriener's office today , August 10, 2020. The gorup was provided the following quote from Mr. Schreiner,
"I will be voting in favour of Bill 119, Respecting Injured Workers Act, because it addresses one of the serious flaws in Ontario's workers' compensation system. The process of 'deeming' has been unfairly used to deny workers the compensation they are entitled and
force them onto taxpayer funded programs.
We need a system that accurately recognizes the injuries caused to a worker and compensates them accordingly."
